Episode 150: The Quickie: How To Redefine Success And Find Your Own Path To Fulfillment

The summer of girlhood is thriving: Barbie broke a billion. Taylor Swift is stabilizing the economy. We’re doing all the things, and we’ve proven we can do it all. But should we actually have to? The #hustleculture girlboss era is mellowing out and honestly, we aren’t sad to see it go.

What was sold to us under the guise of empowerment has become just another benchmark no one can live up to, so it’s time we start redefining success for ourselves. Too often we see success as a zero sum game; we want a prolific career, a healthy balanced life, a happy family and a fulfilling social life, all while comparing ourselves against someone who seems to be doing it better, and it’s impossible to keep up.

There’s more than one way to succeed, and it doesn’t need to be the marriage-house-baby-corporate promotion-trajectory. We’re officially letting go of those tired narratives and rewriting the script on success, because these Barbies have had enough!

Join us as we chat about:

  • Less girlbossing, more balance

  • Dismantling societal definitions of success we’ve been taught

  • Pinpointing our values and passions

  • Learning to embrace our own unique journey

  • Celebrating nontraditional milestones and others’ successes

  • Redefining failure and cultivating a growth mindset

  • How visualization fits in

  • Self-auditing your life

  • The importance of avoiding comparison
